How much do you charge?

Pricing depends on a few things such as; the band you require, venue size, distance, set up and finish times etc. This is why we price each unique event separately. Please contact us (https://www.theonenightband.co.uk/contact-us)for an exact quote, this way we can work towards getting you the best deal for your money

Question 2

Do The One Night Band require a deposit?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we require 30% of the final booking fee to confirm a booking. This charge will be included in the overall pricing for the event. This can be paid by Bank Transfer or Cheque

Question 3

How much space do you need?

Accepted Answer

5mx4m would be ideal but we've performed in much smaller spaces. We can make it work, but just bear in mind the drumkit needs at least 2m squared. So certainly nothing smaller than that!

What timings are best for my event?

Accepted Answer

This is totally depending on your event, and we are very flexible on timings. But these timings usually work pretty well (especially for Weddings) 
6pm Band Arrive, to be set up by 7.30
Background music 7.30-8.30
First Dance and Set 1 8.30-9.15
Break and Buffett 9.15-9.45
Set 2 9.45-10.30 
DJ to whenever you fancy

Question 5

Do you play recorded music during your breaks?

We play a DJ Set through the PA System from a laptop. If you prefer you can provide your own CD’s or a playlist on an iPod.

Can we chose our own playlists?

Accepted Answer

We would love you to chose your set, the day is supposed to be as personal to as possible! We have a wide repertoire to chose from, and we will help to create a personalised set with you from your choices.

Question 7

What other services can you provide?

Accepted Answer

We can provide many extras such as a DJ for after the live music, a Duo for the wedding breakfast, solo piano for the ceremony.  We can also add other instruments such as Saxophone, and learn special songs. Just ask, and we can probably do it!

Do you provide lighting?

Accepted Answer

Yes we do! We have 2x 4 ParCan T-bars for the stage & 4 Cluster lights for the dance floor.

Question 9

Can my Uncle / Boss / Granny sing with the band?

Accepted Answer

Sure, as long as it's organised before hand we have no problem with that - they would need to bring their own equipment though!

Question 10

My venue has a sound limiter, can I still book the band?

Accepted Answer

We have had plenty of experience playing in venues with Sound Limiters, while they're not ideal, we can make it work! Its important to let us know upon booking, so we can either speak to the venue prior to the event, or make sure we give ourselves enough time have a really good soundcheck

Can you learn songs?

We always enjoy increasing our repertoire. Speak to us about any song choices you have, and we will make every effort to learn them for you.

Question 12

Does the band have insurance?

Accepted Answer

We each have Public Liability insurance up to £10,000,000, and all of our equipment is PAT tested. We always keep these certificates up to date.

How far will you travel?

Accepted Answer

We are happy to travel anywhere to play for you. Transport and accommodation, where necessary, will be considered when pricing your event.

Can you play our first dance?

Accepted Answer

We are happy to learn songs for first dances, and also have a list of first dance recommendations.

Question 15

Can we use your Microphones for speeches?

Accepted Answer

Depending on the time your speeches are, and if we're set up you can use our mics for speeches. We have a Wireless Mic just for you!

Question 16

What should I do in the event of a cancellation?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately deposits can’t be refunded if there is a cancellation. If the event must be cancelled we ask to be informed as soon as possible. There may be liquidation costs if left too late

Question 17

Have The One Night Band ever cancelled?

Accepted Answer

Never, We have plenty of professional stand-in musicians who can step in in the unlikely event that a member of The One Night Band can not make it. However this has never happened.

Question 18

Do you take requests to play encores?

Accepted Answer

We always have extra songs for an encore prepared. An extra fee may be incurred for extended performances.

Can we come and see you live?

Accepted Answer

Because of the nature of our work we don’t play many public gigs as they all tend to be private events, however time to time we do book public shows so check out our Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/theonenightband)or Instagram (http://www.instagram.com/theonenightband)page for details.

Question 20

Do the band have any requirements?

We aren't too fussy! We ask for 6 x hot meals during our time, and would appreciate a room to get ready in before performing.
